I grew up reading this book, and finally had to get it for myself. I am studying to be a Speech Language Pathologist, and felt this book would be great for a literacy unit for preschool-3rd grade age children. It has so many elements of language that are vital for children to learn at that age, like rhyming. I have always loved the illustrations, and the dialogue between the fox and the ox. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a good and silly children's book.

I love this book!!! My mom use to read this book and others to me every night but I wanted this one read to me over and over again. I remember her laughing so hard using voices that she could hardly read the story.I am now 30 years old and I read the "same book" to my daughter. I'm thinking of buying a "new one" for my mom for mothers day just for a keepsake so she can have one too. I think that adults and children will both love this book,it keeps you laughing even after you are done reading/listening to it.

The book is still as wonderful as it always has been. The condition of the book is what was disappointing to me...The binding was torn off on the top. And several pages had been heavily colored on. Is there any rating system in place when you put a used book up for sale that you could rate its condition so the buyer would have some idea what condition the book is in before purchasing it?

One of my very first books and still one of my favorites. I'm 37 years old but everytime I read it, I find that I'm a kid again! The author works at a university in my hometown and was kind enough to autograph my original copy!
